YOUR TASKS: Independently plan, structure, and execute technically complex aerodynamic design projects, including the development of new rotor blades and the detailed analysis of legacy designs Applying advanced fluid dynamics principles, leveraging high-fidelity simulation tools, and integrating multidisciplinary constraints to achieve optimal aerodynamic performance Development and continues improvement of prediction methods and industrialization of research approaches and methods Aerodynamic design, evaluation and optimization of wind turbine rotor blades Prepare and present technical results in engineering review meetings and communicate key findings, risks, and recommendations to senior management and other decision‑making stakeholders Automation of methods within the framework of in-house design tools Validation of results and method tuning using measurement data YOUR PROFILE: Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related field; a PhD is a strong advantage, particularly with specialization in aerodynamics Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in aerodynamic design or related engineering fields, ideally within the wind energy sector or similar industries involving complex fluid dynamics applications Strong organizational mindset with demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from concept to execution Proficient in engineering programming, with hands-on experience in languages such as Python, C/C++, and MATLAB, applied to simulation, data analysis, and tool development Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German or Spanish is considered a plus Self-organized and self-driven personality with the ability to handle complex problems Ability to work in a multi-lingual, multi-locational and multicultural team YOUR BENEFITS Nordex offers a range of attractive benefits – here’s a selection of what you can look forward to.
YOUR TASKS • Organize, conduct, and document safety briefings and site inspections on Nordex construction sites • Advise and support all stakeholders on construction sites in all HSE-related matters • Conduct incident investigations and define necessary corrective actions • Contribute to the development and implementation of HSE programs and further develop the HSE management system • Implement customer specific HSE requirements and ensure compliance • Review documents such as qualification matrices or RAMS • Process HSE tickets and provide clear follow up communication • Participate in meetings with customers, external service providers, and authorities YOUR PROFILE • Several years of experience as an Occupational Safety Specialist on construction sites or equivalent • Completed training in occupational safety or a technical profession is an advantage • Strong assertiveness, organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset • Very good English skills and good German skills (written and spoken) • Willingness to travel regularly to construction sites and wind farms across Germany • Physically fit and certified for working at heights • Valid class B driver’s license
YOUR TASKS Coordinate and monitor the progress of subcontractors and report regularly to the BOP Manager and other stakeholders Ensure timely project completion by continuously tracking schedules and adjusting plans to prevent delays Enforce safety regulations and building codes through regular inspections and identification of hazards or violations Ensure all construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, permits, and applicable standards Implement, supervise, and ensure compliance with the Quality Control Plan (QCP), including verification of completed work units and required testing Review construction procedures and resource requirements to meet design specifications and local/international standards Verify the foundation assembly process and act as a technical advisor during construction phases, applying defined quality procedures and stop points Identify and resolve issues during construction, verify subcontractor resources for correcting deviations, and review corrective procedures for compliance with QCP and regulations Maintain accurate documentation of project progress and quality control measures Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project expectations are met YOUR PROFILE Degree in civil engineering or a related field; equivalent professional experience is also considered Experience in civil construction, ideally in wind energy projects and in supervisory roles Solid understanding of quality control procedures and local as well as international regulations Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams Proven ability to resolve conflicts and conduct audits in construction environments Fluency in German and English (minimum B2–C1), both written and spoken Proficiency in project-related documentation and stakeholder interaction A valid driver’s license recognized in Germany is required for this position ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS The following valid certifications and safety trainings are required for this position: Working at Heights certification (issued within the last 12 months) First Aid training Fire Awareness training Confined Spaces training (due to work in the foundation pit) WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL: You are ready to travel and work flexibly on-site according to project requirements.
